"A perfect relaxing day out. Both Captain and Crew were superb. Welcoming coffee a very nice touch. Yorkshire countryside absolutely awesome! We loved all the ducks and wildlife along our meandering way. Thank you for sharing your lovely boat with us. We hope you'll be very happy living in it one day!"
Wikus, Mignon and family
"Enjoyed another fantastic day on Lizzie-Jean in bright sunshine. Children enjoyed opening & closing bridges. Highlight of the day was going through the lock, followed by picnic on the canal side and ice-creams in Gargrave. Wonderfully relaxing - we look forward to coming again!"
Liz with family and friends from Harrogate.
"Thank you so much for a wonderful day. I was pleased to show my family a side of English life that not many Americans know about. Despite the rain we walked into a typical pub and had a roast beef lunch - very tasty! I appreciate you showing us how the boat works - including the lock. I hope to come again oneday."
Linda and daughters from Tusla, Oklahoma, USA
"Had a brilliant day despite the wet weather. What was most fun was having the chance to have a go at steering - or at least trying to! Ethan (7) got stuck into opening the swing bridges - without much help from Daddy ... he's hooked. I think David now has his co-captain!!" "A lovely day out for all ages - 3 to 65!"
Hazel, David and family.
"Had a great day out. Would Deffo recommend it."

"Truely a wonderful day, a complete surprise. The best of friends, good food and wine. The captain, David, a truely wonderful host. Many, many laughs. The two youngsters (50 year old) did all the hardwork with enthusiasm. I will always treasure the memories of today. A big, big thankyou to everyone. P.S. we all loved the bed"
Jacqui from near Bradford. [Note: the comment about the bed refers to the new red lounging facility in Lizzie-Jean's cabin.]
"A great day (shame about the weather!). We all enjoyed it enormously nonetheless. An excellent way to celebrate a birthday. Captain was endlessly patient with crew aged 8, 6 and 3. Would all like to come again". "I thought it was fun steering the boat. I would like to do it again sometime."
Gran Prue (from Bingley) and Joseph (8, from Newcastle)

"We had a lovely day, weather, hospitality - perfect. You had gone to a lot of trouble decorating the boat. We shall remember our trip for a long time and to finish off with a meal at the White Lion was great. Hope you have a good summer for trips, we shall tell our friends. Thank you very much for a memorable day."
C & P from Bingley.
"Lovely welcome by David. Everything you could wish for on board. Weather was fine (until 3.30!). We are waiting for our sailing certificate along with our naval pension!! Very enjoyable day - one to remember with all our friends. We would like to come again. Many thanks."
J, N and friends from Leeds
"What a way to celebrate one's 80th birthday - even though they did make me work all the locks. Lovely day, lovely weather, lovely people! A super relaxing afternoon - thanks"
D.K. from Pontefract with family from Halifax.
"Perfect for birthdays! The festive decorations and welcome breakfast were great. Lovely relaxing day. It was fun to have a go at steering, whether 4 or 59!"

"From croissants to the cosy seating area to the magnificent English countryside - flora and fauna (mother ducks with chicks) and sweets (from the Dalesman Cafe). In spite of cold and rain "this was great mate!" Being crew made us understand the canal lifestyle"
K & H from Australia
"It was wonderful day. I loved it the moment we glimpsed the table through the window set with teacups and jams! Lizzie Jean is a darling little boat - cosy yet classy - especially when wearing Eau de Warm Croissant! I've wanted to go on a narrowboat for 30+ years - and I live in Marple! It takes a couple of Aussie mates to make my dream come true. Thanks to all. A day to remember."
Lynne
"It was a very fun journey and something none of my friends would have ever done. I really enjoyed going to Gargrave stepping stones and getting sweets."
