Narrowboat Lizzie-Jean  is a traditional style 57ft narrowboat, built in 2005.  Lovingly fitted out by  skipper David Fitch she has all the facilities of a modern home. But this floating home can move to any part of the UK canal network - and maybe one day even to France (see Links).

Lizzie-Jean has travelled much of  the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, following her maiden voyage on the Aire and Calder waterway, through Leeds City Centre onto the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. For Easter 2007 Lizzie-Jean visited York on the mighty River Ouse.  In 2008 she made a memorable cruise right across the Pennines to Wigan and back again to her current moorings near Skipton.  In Autumn 2009 she made a voyage south to Leeds and then on to Castleford, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Sowerby Bridge, and along the Rochdale Canal as far as Hebden Bridge. Airedale Cruising trips took up most summer weekends of 2010 and 2011 so the furthest she went was down to the Saltaire  Festival in September.
